About Walker Farms And Greenhouses

After 72 years, Walker Farms is returning to its roots. Moving forward, we will no longer offer flowers or vegetable plants in the spring. Instead, we are excited to focus exclusively on bringing you our fresh, homegrown produce and seasonal items throughout the rest of the year. Here is what you can look forward to:

  • Late Summer: Fresh, homegrown produce starting in late July 2026.
  • Fall: Pumpkins, mums, cornstalks, straw bales, jams, jellies, caramel apples, and more.
  • Holiday Season: Fresh greenery, wreaths, roping, grave blankets, and kissing balls.

We want to extend our sincerest thank you to all of our loyal customers for your continued support as we begin this exciting new chapter.

I've been going here for YEARS. Went today and their prices are ridiculous!!!! WHY? Tariffs, Shipping, etc. OR, water prices, sunshine cost. Sorry but their measly tiny, little tomato plants were very sad. Almost as sad as their inflated prices. Very very disappointed. I've been going since 1980. Done. Finished. Goodbye.

Iโ€™ve been going here for 3 years now, however Iโ€™m disappointed in them this year. I bought over 20 flats recently at 17.99 each and only brought back two because frost killed them two days after buying they wouldnโ€™t Wouldnโ€™t replace any or even offer maybe a small discount to buy more because they said they would lose out on money if they helped. But hereโ€™s the thing Iโ€™ve shopped there for 3 years and sent tons of people there as a loyal customer and to be stingy over a 38 dollar replacement. And I kinda get it because if you replace for everyone you will start to lose money but 38 dollars is not going to break a business. I ended up buying two more flats to replace the ones I brought back. But from now on Iโ€™ll just drive to Troy to another local nursery at least they seem to value their customers and help with mishaps

I've been getting all my annual flowers not only for my home but also for the company I work for for many years now.. The quality of the flowers and customer service from all the staff is outstanding. Kelly and his mom Betty are absolutely some of the best people and go above and beyond to make sure your are happy with all their products. I will continue to do all my flower business with Walker Farms.

Walker Farms and Greenhouses is one of the best local fresh produce and nurseries to go to in the Burton area. This farm has been in operation since 1953. The produce is always ripe and tasty. Some items seem more expensive like the mums, but the vegetables seem reasonably priced. Prices have gone up in this current market, but most everything has gone up! I usually purchase sweet corn (4 for $3.99) potatoes, and apples in late summer. I also buy pumpkins and mums in the autumn. Make sure to check the walls for recipes or sign up for their newsletters. The owners are always friendly! I cannot stress this enough. Farms and farmers continue to disappear for various reasons be it climate change, droughts, increasing operational costs, increased prices of fuel, trade wars, dropping commodity prices, decreasing freshwater reserves, etc. If we want to continue to get locally sourced produce, it is imperative that we support our farmers locally. I try to do my part and I hope I can count on you to do the same. If you want to buy fresh fruit, vegetables and flowers grown locally, this is the place to visit!
